Muggles rejoice! We may yet be able to have a taste of the famous Butterbeer of Hogsmeade. This concoction comes as a frappuccino and not offically licenced to the Harry Potter franchise but I guess this will do until we are able to cross-over to the wizarding world.
While it isn’t advertised nationally, it is said that Starbucks is allowing customers to order the famous Harry Potter Butterbeer — so long as you provide them this recipe.
> A Creme Frappuccino base. Don’t skimp on the fat by asking for skim or 2% milk as whole milk is required for the right consistency.
> Add 3 pumps of caramel syrup.
> Add 3 pumps of toffee nut syrup.
> Top with caramel drizzle, wave your wand 3x and say Bibbity Bobbity Boo! (Damnit, wrong book!)
Update: Ordered this from Starbucks Eastwood Mall on November 2, 2013 and it was pretty good. Baristas weren’t exactly aware that this recipe even exists but they were happy to oblige. Recipe btw is for a Grande-sized drink which costs P170. So, go try it now! Locally, Starbucks will only be able to make Butterbeer so long as they are offering the Holiday drinks because one of the main ingredients, toffee nut syrup, is only available for during the Christmas season (for stores in the US, Toffee Nut is available all year round). Don’t forget to write down the secret recipe and give this to your friendly, neighborhood barista. Source 1 Source 2
Got a testimonial right here! So, go show Starbucks a recipe and try this out today!
If you are not too keen on cold drinks, here is the Latte version of the recipe off http://starbuckssecretmenu.net.
