Once upon a time, in a land far far away, the King and Queen cooked up a plan to marry off the free-spirited Prince. At a time devoid of Facebook and dating sites, a ball in his honor seemed like the wisest choice to get him in a room with the fairest maidens in the land.
The Prince is giving a ball!!!
This got the ladies shrieking and screaming…
…and giggling and hoping.
But the Prince was all… I did what?
But no matter, EVERYONE was so happy and excited about the ball.
Well, maybe not everyone.
Cinderella’s stepmother was as wicked as ever. Don’t even think that you can go to the ball, she said. Well, maybe if you finish your chores you can. And I mean… if!
Of course, Cinderella’s stepsisters felt privileged to go. They talked about which gown to use, what make-up to buy…
Well, maybe talk is not exactly the word I should have used.
Cinderella, on the other hand, was feeling emo. She felt sad and alone… and didn’t have anything decent to wear.
But guess what? Prince Charming was feeling emo as well.
I guess it didn’t help that Fairy Godmother was busy with her day-job and didn’t have the time to zip up some magic.
But, all’s well that ends well. Cinderella made it to the ball and met Christian Bautista…errr the Prince. And they waltzed and sang a duet.
I believe more things unfolded at the stroke of midnight involving a pumpkin and some glass slippers. You are all invited to witness the rest of this magical tale beginning October 9th at the Kingdom of Resorts World Manila. For more information, just say Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo (guess that one’s from Disney, but it’s so fun to say ^^).
